3 Ways to Use Wax Seals for Gift Wrapping

Wax seals are most commonly used to seal envelopes but you may not know that they can be used for a variety of other applications! Today we are detailing three different ways to use wax seals for gift wrapping; wax seal + greenery, wax seal + twine, wax seal + gift tag.

As you begin to wrap your Christmas gifts, consider adding a wax seal in one of these three ways for an added touch of thoughtfulness. You can purchase all of your wax seal supplies here!

Wax Seal + Greenery

Grab a piece of faux or real* greenery, snip greenery to size, melt hot wax and pour onto greenery stem, press wax stamp onto hot wax and hold in place for 30 seconds or until wax is cooled.

*if you're using real greenery, I'd recommend doing this close to when you are giving the gift or drying the greenery first before using.

Wax Seal + Twine

Find or purchase ribbon or twine, wrap around your gift a few times and secure with knot. Cut out a small piece of parchment paper and place behind twine where you would like the seal. Pour the hot wax over the twine/ribbon (with parchment paper backing), press wax stamp onto hot wax and hold in place for 30 seconds. Wait an additional 30 seconds to remove parchment paper backing.

Wax Seal + Gift Tag

Purchase or make* a gift tag using card stock or scrapbook paper. Melt hot wax, pour in desired place on gift tag, press wax stamp onto hot wax, let sit for 20 seconds or until wax is cooled.

*you can trace a template and cut out or use a machine like a Cricut
